By Carli Cox, NW Noggin Resource Council member for Portland State University

I’m an Honors College undergraduate in Psychology at Portland State University, and I am really excited to announce my Rosenbaum Scholar partnership with NW Noggin!

This is the very first year that the Portland State University Honors College has introduced the Rosenbaum Scholarship Program, and I am thrilled to be a part of it. The program seeks to teach students about what it means to run a non-profit organization and be a leader within the community.

Spending this school year working closely with the Board (a.k.a., the “Brain Board“) of NW Noggin will give me an invaluable set of skills that might help me to start a non-profit of my own one day.

And as the new NW Noggin Resource Council Member for PSU, I will have an important role in planning this year’s NogginFest event and I’m really looking forward to that process.

I’ve volunteered with NW Noggin for a bit now, and I love that this group sets out to inspire the community with its passion for creativity and research. This truly is a great opportunity and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together!
