Washington congressional staff use their brains!

The 2015 Summer Outreach Program is over, but NW Noggin is still keeping active! We’re working on multiple projects that will be happening in the coming months, so stay tuned! Earlier this week NW Noggin was a part of the Washington State legislative staff tour at WSU-V. Legislative staff toured the Bat Lab, the Zebra Fish Lab, and got introduced to our program, a bit of what we do, where we’ve been this year, and with the continued support of our many collaborators (including SW Washington MESA) where we’re going!

Each of the 3 groups of staffers had a lot of questions for our NW Noggin volunteers, who had plenty to speak about!

As with our K-12 students, everyone got the opportunity to hold an actual human brain – and most did!

Thank you to all of the legislative staff members for your willingness to participate and ask some great questions! We are encouraged by your commitments in working for continued funding and support for STEAM education.

Thank you also to WSU-V for allowing NW Noggin to represent the schools outreach and community education efforts.
