This work combines current and obsolete understandings of the nature of thought.
In 2017, the Allen Institute published an image of specific neurons that encircle and make connections across the entire brain, hypothesizing that these “giant neurons” project from a region that might be the conductor of consciousness. This piece is dedicated to the quest for scientific understanding which requires an acceptance of the inherent and often unpredictable mystery of discovery.
