Noggin Tuesdays @ P:ear!
February 28, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Noggin is returning to P:ear, a remarkable Portland organization aimed at building positive relationships with homeless and transitional youth through education, art and recreation to affirm their personal worth and help them create more meaningful and healthier lives…
This week we’re introducing autonomic systems (sympathetic/parasympathetic/enteric) and discussing how we can listen to and use electric currents to learn about the brain. We’ll bring along some EEG-based games (including the Mindflex Duel, and perhaps a Human to Human interface from Backyard Brains!). I think we may be lucky enough to welcome back Kirk Wydner, who is currently at Oregon State – he’s also an expert on making Arduino-based technology work as required 🙂
Brittany may also bring along an EEG cap from OHSU – and anything else she thinks might help with understanding the electrical nature of information flow in the brain…
