The session will cover the actions and effects of drugs, the nature and prevalence of drug use disorders, and the powerful role of environment and public policy in improving outcomes. Current neuroscience research as well as insights from extensive interdisciplinary community engagement in urban and rural K-12 schools, correctional facilities, houseless youth nonprofits and other public venues will be explored. Questions are welcome.
