SfN Chapter Meeting: Drugs, Genes & STEAM!

NW Noggin will join undergraduates, graduates and faculty from Oregon and Southwest Washington this weekend at the McMenamin’s Edgefield in Troutdale, Oregon, for the annual chapter meeting for the Society of Neuroscience

Topics will include vertebrate vocal circuitry, the role of microRNAs and RNA granules in temporally and spatially regulating gene expression, hippocampal memory mechanisms, and drugs of abuse.

There will be speakers from Arizona State University, Reed College, the University of Oregon and OHSU, plus a mini-symposium on the neuroscience of addiction led by Barbara Sorg from Neuroscience at WSU Vancouver, and Bonnie Nagel from the Oregon National Primate Research Center at OHSU.
