We were there to hear renowned neuroscientist Christof Koch, the Chief Scientific Officer of the Allen Institute, discuss the neural correlates of visual consciousness, as part of OHSU’s Brain Awareness lecture series.  There was lots of interest in our efforts at cross-institutional, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, and outreach in local public schools…

Brittany Wouden, a student in Creative Media and Digital Culture at WSU Vancouver, piloted her new brain program for the computer (and ultimately for tablets and smartphones), which tracks faces and displays a brain that moves as the person moves…

Brittany and her team have been working with the rapidly expanding Neuroscience program at WSU Vancouver, and are adding detailed anatomical information to their app, along with games that help teach people of all ages which specific networks in their brains are active under different cognitive and perceptual conditions…
