MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility is administered by the Oregon Youth Authority in Woodburn, Oregon. The agency’s stated mission is “to protect the public and reduce crime by holding youth accountable and providing opportunities for reformation in safe environments.”
Janus is the Roman god of new beginnings, doorways, gates, transitions. He famously has two faces, one looking towards the past, and one oriented to the future…

We are returning to MacLaren, along with Kathleen Fullerton from Janus Youth Programs, to discuss neuroscience, answer questions, and consider research on bias in judicial and law enforcement systems, pathways in psychology for counseling and research, and what role neuroscientists play, or might play, in judicial and legislative reform.
