Noggin @ Hosford!!

February 6 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

WHAT: Noggin at Hosford Middle School (Portland Public Schools)

We did it!

“Thanks again everyone. As always this was a wonderful experience. The students from past years were crazy excited when they found out you were in the building. You have a lasting impact.”
– Kevin Marquardt, Hosford Science, Portland Public Schools 💚

How does consciousness work?
Why do you like different things over time?
What’s the difference between depression and anxiety in the brain?
Do we have hair in the brain?
What causes phobias?
How do chimpanzee brains compare to humans?
Can you have an experience that will then cause depression? How does that happen in the brain?
What causes autism?
Why do I get paralyzed when falling asleep?
Where in the brain do I know where my body is, and how it feels?

How do brain farts work?
What happens to your brain when you die?
Can you ever truly accurately remember something?
Why do you forget your childhood?
What do we see when our eyes are closed?
What is a dream?
How many neurons do people have?
How can it be that your brain can see things that your eyes miss?
Why does the brain twist the reality of a memory?
If we all perceive things differently, how could we classify something as ‘wrong’?
What part of our brain asks questions?
If you recall something you learned and it gets distorted, is it the same?
Can we run out of information space in our brains?
How does your brain see when you are blind?
How does the brain keep so much information?
Are there different types of neurons for different parts of the brain?
