Brain cell building @ Fort Vancouver High

September 16, 2016 @ 7:15 am - 2:05 pm

Make your own brain cells! (We can always use more ?)

Graduates and undergraduates: please join us to introduce neurons to seniors at Fort Vancouver High School later this month. We’ll make brain cells from colorful pipe cleaners that will hang in a display at the Portland Art Museum in October, for a discussion of the art and neuroscience of change!

High school students benefit when they learn about your background, interests, and what and where you study. And grad students who research specialized brain cells (hair cells, opiate interneurons, etc.) add tremendously to student understanding of the diversity of neuron structure and function…

We’ll bring along some real human brains too, for you to introduce and help explain…

We promise fun! Please RSVP to bgriesar@pacifier.com, and aspragus@yahoo.com…hope to see you at Fort & cheers!
