Northwest Noggin is a robust, creative, entirely volunteer driven non-profit organization (EIN: 81-3885713) that brings together scientists and artists and students of all ages to contribute their expertise, learn from others, enthuse young people about science and art, share area educational resources and inform and excite the public about compelling research in neuroscience.
Our volunteers are enthusiastic and informed, and regularly let knowledge serve by going places, making art, exploring brain research, sharing stories and listening to the questions and interests of community members in urban and rural K-12 public schools, coffee shops, museums, correctional facilities, houseless youth nonprofits, research conferences, Congress and more!
Contributions let us purchase (and maintain) specimens, pipe cleaners, paper, ink, nitrile gloves (for brain wrangling), electrodes and modeling clay, plus send our graduate and undergraduate volunteers to public schools, conferences and community events to creatively communicate science.
