DESCRIPTION:WHAT: Tabling event at the Portland State University Summer Research Academy! \nWe did it!!\n \nWHERE: Viking Pavilion at Portland State University\, 930 SW Hall St\, Portland\, OR 97201 \nWHEN: Thursday\, June 20\, 1:30 – 3:30pm (arrive ~ 1:30pm for LUNCH!) \nThe PSU Center for Internship\, Mentoring\, and Research (CIMR) Summer Research Academy is coming up soon! We need information from you in preparation of your arrival and participation  in SRA. Jennie Terranova\, PSU\n5. \nWhat is the Summer Research Academy?\nSummer Research Academy (SRA) is designed to engage undergraduate students interested in making a difference in their communities by pursuing research opportunities in STEM\, biomedical\, behavioral\, clinical\, health\, and social sciences.  Students do not have to have prior research experience to participate! \nThe goals of SRA are to provide undergraduate students an introduction to what research is\, how it’s developed and conducted\, and where to find relevant research opportunities!  Participants will hear from a range of professional researchers in their respective fields\, panel discussions by undergraduate and graduate students involved in research\, and get to know the different undergraduate research opportunities available at PSU and other universities. \nAt this 3-day event\, participants will: \nImprove their understanding of research \nIncrease awareness of research opportunities \nBe introduced to research career paths and meet professionals \nConnect with professional development opportunities and events related to research \nAPPLICATION DEADLINE: FRIDAY\, MAY 24!!\nParticipants will receive $250 for attending all 3–days of programming (June 18\, 20\, and 21\, 2024).
