DESCRIPTION:Noggin is returning to P:ear\, a remarkable Portland organization aimed at building positive relationships with homeless and transitional youth through education\, art and recreation to affirm their personal worth and help them create more meaningful and healthier lives… \n \nHere is an overview of the planning and session ideas for all four upcoming visits. \nWe’ll arrange to meet after the first couple of sessions to discuss further plans and details. \n2/14 SESSION 1 – BRAINS!! \nWe will be bringing the brains and welcoming discussion about structure and function of brain areas\, common brain myths and gathering information about what questions/interests they have. \n2/21 SESSION 2 – NEURONS \nWe will be discussing all that is a neuron and making pipe cleaner neurons as well as using a stress reducing paint technique to paint neurons. \n2/28 SESSION 3 – SYSTEMS – ELECTRODES – MIND FLEX \nWe will be introducing systems (sympathetic/parasympathetic) and discussing how we can use electrical currents to learn about the brain \n3/7 SESSION 4 – NETWORKS AND SCREEN PRINTING \nWe will be discussing different networks (default is a good one) and screen printing NOGGIN  t-shirts \nRemember that these are tentative plans and we’ll see where their interests take the discussion!!! \nMore details here… \nNoggin returns to P:ear 🍐!
